Why Is Love So Complicated?

Why do I love someone
Who doesn't love me in return?
Why do I cry over someone,
Who didn't hurt me?
Why do I always think about him
If he never thought about me?
Why do I always wait for him
If he never waited for me?
Why do I see him
But he doesn't see me?
TELL ME WHY?

Love is an untamed force,
When we try to control it,
It destroys us.
When we try to imprison it,
It enslaves us.
When we try to understand it,
It leaves us feeling lost and confused.

Your sandalwood-sculpted body

Your playful glances
And your gentle smile
Has made me fall
Madly in love with you
Your eyebrows are arched

Beautifully like a bow,
The edges of your eyelids

Are lined with kohl,
The black dot in the

Middle of your forehead,
The smoldering embers

On your lips,
Even if your shadow

Is cast upon it
My barren heart is

Cultivated to full bloom.

Your body is beautiful,

Your mind is beautiful,
You are an idol of beauty,
Although others may not

Need you as much,
I need you eternally.
I have yearned deeply

For you in the past,
Please do not make me

Yearn any longer.

Your sandalwood-sculpted body

Your playful glances

Has made me fall

Madly in love with you.

I ache for your touch

I long for your embrace

I want to feel that one kiss

To feel you holding me.

Feeling your lips against mine

To know your heart

Beats in time with mine.

I want to know if you care

If you love, If you dream

If you long for a kiss

As well as a touch

I want to know if

Your heart belongs to mine.

“If only you would kiss me.
Press your lips to mine
Like a searing iron.
Wrap me in your arms
As if you were a monarch
Claiming a kingdom.
Hold me close until
I warm through to the core.
Do this, and I promise
To melt into you,
No longer a cold and frozen
Figure in your narrowed sight.
How devoted I would be
If only your lips burned for mine!
If only you would kiss me.”
