Vengeance Of The HEART

He'd stolen my freedom, my life.
And somehow along the way,
Without me realizing it
He'd also stolen my heart!!
Whatever you take from him,
It'll be always less than
What he would have gotten.
Because I would have given
Myself willingly to him,
My BODY and SOUL,
And there is nothing
You can do about it.

OUR first KISS awakened
Something in ME
I had trouble caging in a HUNGER
So unrestrained and wild
Tt threatened to awake
The parts of my nature
That had no place in a MARRIAGE.
I fought the desire,
Held on to my outward control,
Even though I knew
It was a losing battle.
I wanted her like
Most men would want a
Woman of her beauty.
I  wanted to OWN her,
IMPRESS her and
POSSESS her HEART.

This wedding wasn't about love,
Or trust, or choice
It was about duty and vengeance.
A bond to ensure future
My feelings didn't matter, never had
There is no way out of this union for me.
I am his until the bitter end.
Something in his dark eyes shifted,
Something hungry and lethal unfurling,
And he leaned closer,
His breath hot against my lips
"YOU ARE PLAYING A
DANGEROUS GAME, ANGEL"

"TREAT ME LIKE A GAME
AND I WILL SHOW YOU
HOW IT'S PLAYED,
SWEETHEART!"

He thought she had
A heart of stone
But little did he know,
She was a love unknown
He tried to resist,
But her charm drew him in
And their chemistry,
Was a love he couldn't win
He fell for her beauty,
Llike a star in the night
And her touch ignited,
A burning passion light
But his heart still held,
A vengeance of heart
A pain that lingered,
A love that fell apart
He's torn between his head,
And his heart's desire
A love that's pure and true,
Or a burning fire
But she sees the real him,
Behind his mask of pride
And knows that love  can heal
His heart's hardened side
Perhaps in time, he'll see
The truth in her eyes
And love her for who she is,
With a heart full of surprise
Their love will shine bright,
Like a beacon in the night
Guiding them home,
To a love that's pure and right
Their love will conquer,
The vengeance of the heart
And heal the wounds,
That once tore them apart.
